Richard is one of the UK’s leading financial PR advisers. He joined Buchanan in 1984 with an investment banking background after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Richard is Chairman of Buchanan and a Director of Quill.

He has been involved in all aspects of financial communications from major cross-border contested transactions to IPO's. Most of his advisory work is focused within the media and financial sectors, advising clients such as WPP, Formula 1, Boohoo.com, Wincanton, and Essentra.
